An announcement to perform the last rites of a well-known Indian industrialist with official honours

New Delhi: India has announced that renowned industrialist Ratan Tata will be cremated with state honours.

According to a foreign news agency, the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, has said that the last rites of industrialist Ratan Tata will be performed with full official honors.

The Maharashtra government also announced a day of mourning today in honor of the late industrialist. On this occasion, the national flag is flown at all government offices in Maharashtra while all entertainment programs are also cancelled.

Ratan Tata’s mortal remains have been laid to rest at the National Center for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Nariman Point, Mumbai, from 10 am to 4 pm today, Thursday. Where people are paying their last respects. After which his last rites will be performed in Worli area.

Indian Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior officials will attend the last rites of the industrialist.

It should be noted that India’s leading industrialist Ratan Tata died at the age of 86 yesterday in a hospital in Mumbai. where he was admitted to the intensive care unit for some time.

Ratan Tata became the Chairman of Tata Sons in 1991 and held the position till 2012. Under his leadership, the Tata Group grew globally.

Tata Motors, led by Ratan Tata, introduced a car that was said to be the cheapest car in the world.
