MULTAN: Pakistan announced their playing XI for the second test against England on Monday, hoping that the new line-up will bring the side a much-needed win.
The playing XI was revealed a day after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the new 16-member squad, which announced Babar Azam, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah would be dropped.
29-year-old all-rounder Kamran Ghulam, who was previously part of Pakistan’s squad against New Zealand in January 2023, but did not play, will be making his test debut on October 15.
Pakistan will also be bolstering their bowling line-up after England made a historic 823 runs in the last test, the fourth highest test innings score ever.
