Proposal to change the name of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Pakhtunkhwa only

A unanimous proposal was made to change the name of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to Pakhtunkhwa.

Sources say that in the closed room meeting of the Special Committee of the Parliament on the 26th Constitutional Amendment, the proposal to amend the name of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was proposed by the Awami National Party, which has not been opposed by any party yet.

According to Jang, it has been decided to continue further consultation on the constitutional draft in the committee, the sub-committee of the constitutional amendment committee will submit the final report to the committee in two days, the sub-committee will prepare the final proposed draft in two days.

Sources say PTI will share its draft amendments with JUI.

Chairman Committee Khurshid Shah says that the Law Minister should complete the consultation with all the parties and finalize the draft.
