
Pakistan lose three wickets to Bashir before Lunch

MULTAN: Pakistan lost three wickets, courtesy of Shoaib Bashir, as they made 43 runs before the lunch break after an impressive bowling performance quickly ended England’s first innings on Thursday.
Abdullah Shafique had another abysmal performance, being sent off after only scoring four runs off 19 deliveries. Shoaib Bashir would get the wicket, after wicketkeeper Jamie Smith took the catch. Contact with the edge of Shafique’s bat was shown courtesy of the Ultra-Edge review. Shafique has made a total of 11 runs across both innings, scoring seven in the first.
Pakistan skipper Shan Masood was equally awful, being dismissed after scoring 11 runs off 18 balls. It was Shoaib Bashir who got the wicket once again, after finding the edge of Masood’s bat which sent the ball to Ollie Pope at slip who took the catch. Masood made only three runs in the first innings, giving him a total of 14 runs across both innings.
Saim Ayub would be sent off in the 15th over after making 22 runs off 39 deliveries. Bashir would pick up his third wicket as he found yet another bat’s edge. The ball when to the man at second slip once again, allowing Pope to take his second catch od the innings.
Pakistan will be depending on Kamran Ghulam to provide another great innings, after he scored 118 runs earlier. He currently stands at 5 runs off 14 balls.
Pakistan stands at 43 for 3 after 15 overs.
