Pakistan Shaheens play India A at 6:30 on Saturday

AL AMARAT: The Pakistan Shaheens will play India A on Saturday at 6:30 PM in a group stage match in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

The Shaheens are in Group B of the tournament, which also includes India A, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates. Group A includes Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka A.

Pakistan won last year when the tournament was still played in the ODI format. It then switched to the T20 format for the first time in 2024.

Two matches were played on Friday, in which Bangladesh A beat Hong Kong by five wickets with ten balls remaining, and Afghanistan A beat Sri Lanka A by 11 runs.

Pakistan is being led by wicket keeper Mohammad Harris, who led Pakistan to victory last year after the boys in green took down India A by a whopping 128 runs in the final.

After the first contest against India A, Pakistan will play against Oman on October 21, followed by a match against the UAE on October 23.

The final four will both play their semi-final games on October 25, before the best two compete in the final on October 26.
