Increase in exports compared to imports in the first 4 months of the fiscal year

The Federal Bureau of Statistics has said that during the first 4 months of the current financial year, the total exports of the country have increased while the imports have decreased.

According to the data released by the Federal Bureau of Statistics, during the first month of the financial year, there was an increase in exports while there was a decrease in imports, and the trade deficit of October was 17.69 percent lower than in September 2024.

The data showed that the trade deficit in September 2024 was $1.82 billion and decreased to $1.5 billion in October.

Increase in prices of ghee and cooking oil

The Federal Bureau of Statistics said that in October 2023, foreign trade was facing a deficit of 2.17 billion dollars, while the trade deficit in the first four months of the current fiscal year, from July to October, was 5.6 percent less.

The country’s trade deficit in July to October 2024 was 6.97 billion dollars, while the trade deficit in July to October 2023 was 7.38 billion dollars. According to the Federal Bureau of Statistics, exports have increased by 13.45 percent and imports by 5.17 percent in the four months of this fiscal year.
