PTA has blocked more than 100,000 accounts of Tik Tok

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has submitted a report in the Peshawar High Court regarding the uploading of obscene and blasphemous content on TikTok and other social media accounts.

According to the PTA report, 1 lakh 14 thousand 15 immoral videos have been uploaded on Tik Tok since 2020. On which 1 lakh 13 thousand 133 accounts were blocked.

2 thousand 463 posts against religion were uploaded which were blocked. This year 25 thousand 267 immoral content was uploaded. On which 24 thousand 800 accounts were blocked.

1.389 thousand 181 immoral content was uploaded on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X and other social media accounts. Out of which 13 lakh 3 thousand 578 links were blocked.

According to the report, 1 lakh 47 thousand 579 links were blocked on Facebook, 22 thousand 357 on Instagram, 6 thousand 728 on Snack Video, 1 lakh 25 thousand 600 on Tik Tok, 53 thousand 162 on YouTube and 53 thousand 842 on X.
