Pakistan loses to Sri Lanka in Super Sixes final

HONG KONG: Sri Lanka won the Hong Kong Super Sixes title, after beating Pakistan by three wickets.

Pakistan merely managed to set a target of 73 runs for Sri Lanka who chased it down in five overs.

From the green team, Mohammad Akhlaq scored 48 runs, but other players lagged behind. Faheem Ashraf managed to scored only 13 runs and Aamer Yamin went pack to the pavilion after adding only six runs to the total.

Pakistan team chose to bat first and was bowled out for 72 runs.

Earlier, Pakistan team had shown an impressive performance against Australia in the semi-final with Asif Ali and Mohammad Akhlaq both totalling 32 runs each, of only 8 and 10 balls, respectively.

However, in the final game of the tournament, Pakistan team failed to make a mark and lost to Sri Lanka.
