Fear of reduction in wheat production

After cotton, there is a fear of reduction in the sowing and production of wheat, in view of which various schemes have been announced by the Department of Agriculture, Punjab.

The agriculture department has set a target of 1 crore 65 lakh acres for wheat cultivation in Punjab province, 1000 tractors will be provided free of cost to the farmers who cultivate wheat on an area of ​​more than 25 acres.

The minimum price for the import and supply of tea leaves has been set at Rs 1200 per kg

1000 laser land levelers will be provided free of cost through lottery on wheat cultivation of 12 to 25 acres. Facilitation of purchase of agricultural inputs will be provided through Kisan Card on wheat cultivation of 1 to 12 and half acres.

Production competitions will also be organized to increase the production of wheat per acre.
