Helicopter crashes in Iran, brigadier general and pilot killed

Tehran: IRGC Brigadier General Hamid Mazandarani and pilot Hamid Jindaghi were killed in a helicopter crash in Iran.

According to a foreign news agency, two officers of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards were killed in a helicopter crash during an anti-terrorist operation in the country’s peaceful southeast. A general of the elite force was also included among the dead.

According to Iranian media, the accident took place in Sistan province. In this incident, Iranian Revolutionary Guards General Hamid Mazandarani and the pilot of the helicopter were killed.

Earlier in May this year, former Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian along with other colleagues were killed in a helicopter crash.
