US presidential election, the most expensive election campaign in history

Washington: The recent US presidential election was the most expensive election in American history. Presidential candidates spent about $16 billion on the campaign trail.

According to a foreign news agency, the excitement of the American presidential election is all over the world. After the voting process was completed, the counting process started. The current elections in the United States were the most expensive elections of this year.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump and Kamala Harris clashed. After which the series of results continues.

In the current US presidential election, the presidential candidates spent a total of more than 16 billion dollars. While in 2020, 15 billion one crore dollars were spent during the election campaign.

US Vice President Kamala Harris has raised over a billion dollars in fundraising. While former US President Donald Trump collected 382 million dollars for his election campaign.

The private bank donated $197 million to Donald Trump’s campaign and other Republican activities. Democrat Michael Bloomberg was the top donor with $93 million, while George Soros contributed $56 million through his political action committee.

A major portion of the expenditure ie $10.5 billion was spent on advertising. In which both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump spent huge amounts of money on television, digital and social media.
