Cement sales increased by 9% during October 2024.

According to the statistics of All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, the volume of cement sales during October 2024 was 4.357 million tons, while the volume of cement sales during October 2023 was 4.006 million tons.

Thus, an increase of 0.351 million tons or 8.74% has been recorded in the sale of cement during October 2024 compared to October 2023.

According to the report, domestic sales of cement during the period decreased by 0.49% to 3.276 million tonnes as against 3.292 million tonnes.

An increase of more than 51% was recorded in cement exports, compared to 7 lakh 14 thousand 325 tons of exports in October 2023, the volume of exports increased to 10 lakh 80 thousand 691 tons during October 2024.

Total cement sales (including domestic and exports) during the first 4 months of the current fiscal fell by 7.92 percent to 14.633 million tons as against 15.891 million tons in the previous fiscal year.

Increase in foreign exchange reserves by 1 crore 80 lakh dollars

According to the data, domestic sales of cement declined by 15.02 percent during July-October 2024 and the volume of sales decreased to 11.410 million tons as against 13.426 million tons.

During the same period, the volume of exports increased by 30.74% to 3.223 million tonnes as against 2.466 million tonnes.
