Overseas Pakistanis have sent billions of dollars to the country

In the first 4 months of the current financial year, the remittances of overseas Pakistanis have increased by 34.7% on annual basis.

According to the data released by the State Bank, in the period from July to October, the volume of remittances of overseas Pakistanis was recorded at 11.8 billion dollars, which is 34.7% more than the same period of the previous financial year.

In the same period of the last financial year, the volume of remittances of overseas Pakistanis was recorded at 8.8 billion dollars. In October, overseas Pakistanis sent 3.1 billion dollars in foreign exchange to the country, which is 23.9% more than in October last year. Compared to September, remittances in October have increased by 6.7% on a monthly basis.

9% increase in cement sales during October 2024

According to the State Bank, during October 2024, remittances of 766.7 million dollars from Saudi Arabia, 620.9 million dollars from the United Arab Emirates, 429.5 million dollars from the United Kingdom and 299.3 million dollars from the United States have been recorded.
