
Pakistani woman elected president for the first time in ACCA’s 120-year history

Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) elected Ayla Majeed from Pakistan as its President.
Ayla Majeed has become the first person from Pakistan to be elected to this position in ACCA’s 120-year history.
Ayla Majeed is the founder and CEO of Planetio Middle East and Islamabad-based Planetio Pakistan, which provides services in decarbonisation, sustainability and energy.
Ayla Majeed will lead ACCA’s more than 252,500 members and 526,000 future members in 180 countries.
Increase in the volume of trade between Pakistan and the countries of West Asia
She has been elected president at a time when the ACCA has passed the significant milestone of over a quarter of a million members, as well as celebrating its 120th anniversary this year.
Ayla Majeed says that in the next few months, she wants to work on the topics of ‘new future of accounting, strategic approach and stakeholder behaviour’.
