PTI rejects government videos of May 9 incidents

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has dismissed the government CCTV footages of the May 9 violence as fake.

Information Secretary PTI Sheikh Waqas Akram said in a conversation with the media that the government calls this type of footage as CCTV footage. The government is naming the videos made by mobile phones as CCTV footages.

He said that the footages were also not edited properly. And do these people think the people are crazy, what is the meaning of CCTV footage?

Sheikh Waqqas Akram said that one piece was extracted from somewhere else, and the other piece was extracted from somewhere else. Belief in the government is far-fetched, we do not believe in this government. And before this, where have they accepted our peaceful protest? Whenever we call for protest, Islamabad becomes Containeristan.

He said that there is weight in the doubt of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, a senior leader of the party imprisoned in Kot Lakhpat. Because there are sacrifices for his party. PTI leadership should also meet Shah Mahmood Qureshi and other prisoners.

In response to the defense minister’s statement, the information secretary said that Khawaja Asif is sitting in the assembly with the mandate of dacoity. The Defense Minister is the one who was defeated by Rehana Dar in the elections. And who is Khawaja Asif who gives certificates of treason to people in our party? We don’t even believe Khawaja Asif’s Prime Minister, so who is he?

To a question, he said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman was told not to vote for the 26th constitutional amendment but he decided to vote. Based on the issue, we and JUI(F) are doing separate politics. We say that we will not talk to the government because we do not believe them.
