New Delhi: In the Indian state of Manipur, internet and mobile services were suspended in the areas affected by the communal riots. While an indefinite curfew was also imposed.
According to a foreign news agency, a large number of protesters gathered in Manipur’s capital Imphal yesterday and demanded to meet the members of the assembly.
According to the police official, the protesters stormed the houses of the members of the assembly after their demands were ignored. Cars were set on fire and property damaged.
According to security officials and politicians, the mob surrounded the houses of at least 9 MLAs. While vandalizing 4 houses.
Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Sushindru Matti said over the phone from another location. That the mob surrounded his house and is currently under attack.
He said that my house has been damaged. And the windows are broken. But before they could enter the house, the security forces dispersed the crowd.

Last week, a 31-year-old woman belonging to the Hamar group of the Kaki community was burnt alive in Jaribam district. The blame was laid on the Mete militants. The government sent additional security forces to the state. And has ordered action against violent people of both communities.
It should be noted that racist riots broke out in the Indian state of Manipur in May last year over government grants and quotas in education and jobs. In which at least 250 people died and 60,000 have been displaced from the state.
