Later, out of five finalists, 21-year-old Denmark’s Victoria Kjar Thelveg was named Miss Universe 2024, the first Danish Hasina to win the pageant.

Nigeria’s Hasina Chidima Editshina was second, Mexico’s Maria Fernanda was third and Thailand’s Sachta Chuangsri was fourth.

28-year-old Ilana Marquez Pedroza of Venezuela, who is also a mother, made history by finishing fifth, while Malta’s Beatrice Njoia became the first woman over the age of 40 to reach the grand final.

It should be noted that for the first time in the 72-year history of the Universe competitions, women over the age of 28 were also allowed to participate in the competition.
