The voting process has been completed in the referendum for the independence of Khalistan in the city of Auckland, New Zealand.
Long queues of people were formed even before the voting process started, due to which the scheduled time of the referendum was extended by an hour. A large number of Sikh community also arrived in Auckland from other cities to participate in the Khalistan referendum.

According to foreign media, people who came to vote also raised slogans against India. Independent Punjab Referendum Commission has informed that more than 37 thousand people exercised their right to vote in the referendum.
Counsel General of Sikhs for Justice Gurpatwant Singh Pannu said in a video link address to the participants that despite India’s atrocities, Sikhs took the path of voting instead of violence. The next round of the referendum will be held in Los Angeles on March 23 next year.
