Section 144 enforced in Karachi and Islamabad, notification issued

Notification of implementation of Section 144 was issued in Karachi and Islamabad.

According to the notification, section 144 has been imposed in Karachi for 7 days and gathering of more than 5 people will be banned, protests or sit-ins will not be allowed in Shahr Quaid from November 18 to 24.

The notification states that demonstrations and rallies are prohibited on the occasion of Defense Exhibition Ideas 2024 due to security measures.

On the other hand, the gathering of 5 or more people has been banned under Section 144 of the city.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Islamabad issued a notification and said that the ban under Section 144 has been imposed on any kind of religious, political gathering.
