In the next few months, electricity prices will be reduced, Owais Laghari announced the good news

Federal Minister of Energy Sardar Owais Laghari has said that in the next few months the prices of electricity will be reduced, we have started the reform program.

According to Moqar Qaumi newspaper, Owais Leghari said that steps have been taken on a professional basis, the defects of the transmission line have been removed, we have made major revolutionary reforms.

He said that in the next few months the prices of electricity will be low, where there is theft of electricity there will be load shedding. The federal minister said that over-billing has reduced to a great extent, over-billing is absolutely not acceptable.

He said that till when we will bear the burden of subsidy of K Electric, the electricity of K Electric from the rest of the country is expensive, there are big complaints regarding K Electric.

He said that the Neelum Jhelum project incurred huge losses, the revolving credit will come down at the end of the year, there is a burden of capacity charges due to low demand.

The federal minister said that loans will not decrease without capacity charges, the rupee depreciated in 2018, the country’s economy is improving.

Federal Energy Minister Sardar Owais Laghari further said that the use of Thar coal instead of imported coal will save money, charging stations will be built for electric vehicles.
