Accused of fraud, Indian billionaire Gautam Adani indicted in the US

Washington: India’s billionaire businessman Gautam Adani has been indicted in the United States.

According to a foreign news agency, Gautam Adani, a billionaire businessman in America, was indicted on charges of fraud.

According to the US prosecutor, Gautam Adani is accused of running a fraud scheme. Adani raised more than $3 billion in loans and bonds based on lies.

Gautam Adani was indicted in the US for taking contracts by paying bribes to the Indian government. Billionaire businessman Gautam Adani is also accused of paying a bribe of 250 million dollars.

According to the indictment, Gautam Adani had bribed the Modi government to get a contract to import solar energy equipment. And earned $2 billion in business benefits from contracts.

Gautam Adani is also accused of purchasing $3 billion worth of loans and bonds with the help of contracts and false documents. The US Securities and Exchange Commission also accused Gautam Adani of fraud.

Indian businessman Gautam Adani was first accused of fraud in Delhi in 2002, but he was released within a few days. In 2012, Adani was honorably acquitted within months of a similar charge in Mumbai.
