Petty squabbles

The state of politics in Pakistan can be judged from the fact that the two old, elitist parties, the PML-N and the PPP, failed to form a strong government between them and have to rely on other parties.

The latter is now accusing the former of allegedly violating their governance pact and is airing its dissent openly. If the PM is spending all his time and energy sorting out squabbles and keeping the diverse group together, how could the government do anything worthwhile, assuming it even had the intention to do so?
