PTI’s claim of attack by unknown persons on private machinery going to Swabi

Swabi: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has claimed that a private vehicle bound for Swabi was attacked by unknown assailants after the police stopped it near Peshawar Toll Plaza.

Talking to the media, PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram said that armed masked men stopped our crane, dumper and other vehicles on the highway.

They alleged that according to the Motorway Police, the masked men tried to set fire to the vehicles. And our drivers were also forced to sit in their cars and took them with them.

PTI Peshawar President Irfan Saleem said that after the police stopped, suddenly unknown persons attacked the machinery. Unknown assailants fired at the tires of the machinery and disabled it.

He said that unknown assailants tried to set fire to the cranes by sprinkling petrol on them. But by that time PTI members had reached the spot.

He claimed that drivers and other staff of private machinery and cranes going to Swabi have gone missing after the attack.
