Appeal to PTI to avoid violence, America

US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller has said that PTI activists are requested to refrain from peaceful protests and violence.

Speaking during a news briefing in Washington, Matthew Miller said that while maintaining law and order, respect for Pakistan’s laws and constitution should be ensured.

The American spokesperson said that the Pakistani authorities are requested to respect human rights and fundamental freedoms.

He further said that every country in the world, including Pakistan, supports freedom of expression and peaceful protest, we are never in favor of violent protest.
