Violence during PTI protests in Islamabad leaves police personnel martyred

Violent incidents during protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers in Islamabad have resulted in significant damage to public property and tragic loss of life. According to official sources, three Rangers and two Punjab police personnel were martyred, while several others sustained injuries during clashes with demonstrators.

Multiple videos from protest sites show scenes of vandalism and arson, suggesting the acts were carried out in a coordinated manner. PTI workers reportedly attacked government installations and vehicles, causing irreparable damage. Twenty-two vehicles belonging to the Punjab Police were also destroyed in the violence.

Authorities have arrested several individuals involved in the riots, and the process of identifying additional perpetrators is ongoing. Law enforcement agencies are continuing efforts to restore order and investigate the circumstances surrounding the unrest.

The violent turn of events underscores the tense political climate, raising concerns about public safety and the protection of national infrastructure during ongoing protests.
