The cyclone wreaked havoc in India and Sri Lanka

Chennai: Cyclone “Fingal” wreaked havoc in India and Sri Lanka. Due to which 19 people died.

According to the foreign news agency, Cyclone Fangal caused floods in the state of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry after passing through the Bay of Bengal on the southern coast of India.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, it rained for 24 hours in Puducherry, which is a record for the last 30 years.

The Airport Authority of India said the southern city of Chennai was flooded due to the storm. And flights from the city were temporarily suspended. However, the operation was resumed on Sunday morning.

Roads were completely submerged due to dust storm and heavy rains.

According to Indian officials, the rains have subsided in Chennai and the army has started relief work for the storm-affected citizens in Puducherry.

On the other hand, Cyclone Fingal also wreaked havoc in Sri Lanka. According to the data of the Disaster Management Center in Colombo, 138 thousand 944 families have been affected by the heavy rain.
