What now?

The ‘last call’ by the PTI ended in chaos. The response by the security forces was not unexpected, but those leading the protest rally paid no heed to the warnings issued by the interior minister and, ultimately, walked into disaster.

There was panic all over and the ostensible leaders of this protest (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi) appeared to be the first to leave/flee, leaving ordinary protestors and party workers to face the authorities. Now, everyone is wondering what comes next. Will the PTI survive this humiliating retreat or fade into oblivion?
