In Saudi Arabia, 164 government employees were arrested on charges of bribery and abuse of office.

According to the Anti-Corruption Department, the detained persons belong to the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Local Government.

Last month, the Anti-Corruption Department visited 16 hundred and 35 different government offices for inspection, during which many cases of violations of administrative rules and crimes were registered.

The Anti-Corruption Department says that 370 people were investigated for corruption in November, after which some were released on bail.
