Asian Development Bank

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced to provide 86.2 million dollars to Pakistan.

According to the announcement of the Asian Bank, the money will be provided to Pakistan in the form of development loans, the money will be used to build stable reserves of aviation fuel, a private storage of aviation fuel will be established in Sheikhupura.

There was no covert talk in the IMF program, the four provinces played a role in the implementation, said the Federal Finance Minister.

The statement further said that the amount will be provided under climate support for infrastructure lending.

It should be noted that three months ago Asian Development Bank president Masatsu Gwasakawa had announced to give aid of 2 billion dollars to Pakistan.

During the meeting, the President of the State while emphasizing on increasing cooperation from the Asian Development Bank to deal with the effects of climate change, informed Masatsu Gwasakawa about the economic challenges facing Pakistan and said that the war against terrorism has given the country a lot of economic benefits. On this occasion, the President of the Asian Bank said that Pakistan is facing severe effects of climate change, ADB will provide annual assistance of 2 billion dollars to Pakistan in the next 3 years to deal with these problems.

Apart from this, ADB has also approved $400 million in assistance for flood-affected houses in Pakistan, construction of infrastructure and restoration of basic health facilities in Sindh.
