Syrian rebels seize more territory, rapidly advance towards the capital

While repelling the forces of President Bashar al-Assad in Syria, the rebels have captured more areas, the rebels are advancing rapidly towards the city of Homs.

Syrian rebels have captured another city, Daraa, with the Syrian army withdrawing under an agreement with the rebels, providing high security and safe passage for military officers to Damascus.

The head of the Syrian rebel alliance and Tahrir al-Sham group, Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, has said that his destination is Damascus and calls on the Syrian forces to abandon Bashar al-Assad’s criminal actions and support the rebels.

As Syrian rebels neared the third-largest city of Homs, the rebels announced that Syrian forces were being given a final call to withdraw.

Earlier, Tahrir al-Sham militia and other rebel groups have also captured the main Syrian city of Hama and the residence of President Bashar al-Assad in the Syrian province of Aleppo.
