Food for climate policy

According to some media reports, half of Pakistan may face food insecurity by 2030 due to severe water scarcity, prolonged droughts, extended heatwaves and other manifestations of climate change. It is also worth mentioning that around 90 per cent of the country’s agriculture relies on the Indus River system, which is under threat from glacial melting and erratic rainfall patterns. We are in urgent need of innovative and inclusive solutions to the climate change problem.
