Ulama agree to keep Madrasahs affiliated with the Ministry of Education

In the government meeting on the registration and reform of Madrasas in Islamabad, the Ulama agreed to keep the Madrasahs under the Ministry of Education.

The meeting was attended by eminent scholars of all schools of thought from all over Pakistan, including Minister of Education Khalid Maqbool, Minister of Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Director General of Religious Education Major General (retd) Ghulam Qamar, Allama Tahirashrafi, Dr. Raghib Naimi, Maulana Abdul Karim Azad, Mufti Abdul Rahim. , Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Fazlur Rehman Khalil and Allama Ibtisam Elahi Zaheer were also participants.

In the meeting, the scholars were consulted regarding madrasas registration and reforms and in the meeting, the scholars agreed to keep the madrasas affiliated with the Ministry of Education.

Director General of Religious Education Major General (Retd) Ghulam Qamar said that madrasahs have a great role in the history of the subcontinent, our education system consists of schools and madrasahs, poor children are given religious and worldly education in madrasahs.

He said that madrasas make these poor children capable members of the society, madrasahs are facing difficult situations after the establishment of Pakistan, after the decision of the cabinet, there was an agreement about madrasas and it was decided that all madrasas will be under the Directorate of Religious Education. will be associated with

He further said that the form issued by us for madrasas has all the details, this form comes to us from the madrasas after various verifications, we have to mainstream the madrasas and support the education system.

He said that our offices are working in every corner of the country and two people are working in each area, our members go to the streets and check the madrasas, there is no gap between the Directorate of Religious Education and the madrasas.

He said that more than one lakh madrasas have provided books to students, students from 53 countries are studying in our madrasas, 2500 students of madrasas have been given technical training this year, digital marketing, data entry and other courses have been conducted for these students. Allama Raghib Naimi said that the Madrasah system is no longer threatened by any external agenda. Students of madrasas equivalent to BS degree should get certificate.

On this occasion, Allama Tahir Ashrafi said that it is possible that someone has more manpower in the field of politics, but in the field of madrasahs, this forum has the manpower in the number of lakhs. If you bring servants, the scholars sitting here have so many schools in Islamabad that they can bring twenty-five or thirty thousand servants.

He said that we do not want caravans and demonstrations, we want to see education as education and politics in the field of politics.
