Good news for the country’s economy, OGDCL has discovered new natural gas reserves in Betni-2 well in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Terjuman OGDCL, this is the first hydrocarbon discovery in the Willi Block Samanasik Formation, 2.14 million standard cubic feet of gas per day is being recovered from the Samanasik Formation.

The production of oil and gas in the country decreased

The spokesman said that Betani well-2 in Samanask Formation is OGDCL’s significant discovery, from which more wells are being planned to be drilled in the area.
