Large increase in remittances of Pakistanis residing in UAE

In the first five months of this financial year, a 55% increase in remittances from Pakistanis working in the UAE has been recorded.

According to the data released by the State Bank, in the first 5 months of the current financial year, Pakistanis working in the UAE sent 2.953 billion dollars in foreign exchange to the country, which is 55% more than the same period of the previous financial year.

In the same period of the last fiscal year, Pakistanis working in the UAE sent 1.909 billion dollars in foreign exchange to the country. In November, the volume of remittances from the UAE was recorded at 619 million dollars, which is 50% more than in November last year.

In November last year, Pakistanis working in the UAE sent 412 million dollars in foreign exchange to the country. Compared to October, there has been a slight decrease in remittances from the UAE on a monthly basis. In October, the volume of remittances from the UAE was recorded at 621 million dollars.
