Disclosure of illegal use of vehicles worth crores

Illegal use of government vehicles worth crores of rupees has been revealed in federal ministries and divisions.

Expressing concern, the Cabinet Division has written to all ministries for not returning the vehicles despite the completion of the project.

Sources in the Cabinet Division said that dozens of official vehicles of Polkar are being used unnecessarily in various ministries.

Government of Sindh announced a public holiday on December 25 in all government offices

The letter said that all types of official vehicles should be returned to the Cabinet Division as per the Staff Car Rules, the Cabinet Division alloting vehicles to all ministries as per the nature of the projects.

As per law, government vehicles are returned to the cabinet pool after completion of projects, several government vehicles are in personal use of officers above grade 20 in various ministries.
