Six killed in car accident

FAISALABAD:

At least six people were killed and three others injured in a car accident near Tandlianwala on Saturday.

A Rescue 1122 spokesman said a speeding car hit a tractor-trolley from the rear as the driver could not assess the distance due to dense fog at the Tandlianwala Motorway Interchange near Chak 393GB late in the night.

As a result, three women and three children died on the spot, whereas Rescue 1122 staff shifted three injured victims to the Allied Hospital-I, where their condition was stated to be critical.

Police teams dispatched the bodies to the mortuary of the Tandlianwala Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for postmortem.
