The team investigating former South Korean President Yoon Seok-yul has requested to issue an arrest warrant.

According to the foreign media, the statement of the Joint Investigation Headquarters has said that it has requested the issuance of an arrest warrant for former President Yoon Suk for imposing martial law in the country for a short period of time.

The impeachment movement was successful, the acting president of South Korea, Han Deok-soo, was also dismissed

The Joint Investigation Team says that the former president ignored the notices issued to appear before the team for investigation and did not appear.

The court will decide whether or not to issue an arrest warrant for former president Yoon Seok-yeon. If Yoon Suk-yeon’s arrest warrant is issued, he will become the first South Korean president to be arrested.
