Equitable justice

Women’s access to justice in civil matters continues to be a major challenge worldwide. Legal and societal obstacles often impede their ability to seek and secure fair remedies for issues such as property rights, family disputes, and employment discrimination. Financial limitations, a lack of legal knowledge, and prevailing cultural norms can hinder women’s access to legal services.

Moreover, discriminatory laws and practices within the justice system can further disadvantage them. Tackling these challenges requires a comprehensive approach. Enhancing legal aid services, improving legal literacy among women, and reforming discriminatory laws are vital steps. Additionally, fostering gender-sensitive justice systems and amplifying women’s voices in legal processes are crucial for ensuring equal access to justice for everyone.
