Another 1.3 million Pakistanis fell into poverty within a year, World Bank

The World Bank has said that during one year, another 1.3 million Pakistanis fell into poverty.

According to the report of the World Bank, the poverty rate in Pakistan during 2024 was 25.3 percent, which is 7 percent more than last year 2023.

According to the Bank’s report, another one million and three million Pakistanis have fallen into poverty in one year.

Labor income has been the main driver of poverty reduction, with people moving to better-paying jobs in normal days, according to the report. It will come to 18.7 percent.
