Mir Hamza replaces Naseem Shah for 2nd test against South Africa

CAPE TOWN: Naseem Shah’s exclusion was the only change to Pakistan’s squad ahead of their second test against South Africa, which is set to kick off shortly.

Mir Hamza will be replacing Naseem Shah. The 32-year-old bowler has only played in six test matches, across which he took 12 wickets, with his best figures coming against Australia in 2023, when he dismissed six batters in total, four of which he sent off in the second innings.

Hamza has also taken 459 wickets in the 119 first class matches he’s played.

Naseem took a total of four wickets in the first test against South Africa, while conceding 126 runs.

The remainder of the squad remains the same.
