Bloodshed in Gaza must end, Pakistani delegate Asim Iftikhar

The statement of Pakistani delegate Asim Iftikhar in the Security Council on the situation in the Middle East and the issue of Palestine came out.

Pakistani delegate Asim Iftikhar has said that the bloodshed in Gaza should end, the international community should unite to defend the UN Charter and international laws.

What Israel is doing in Gaza is not a war, it is a campaign of eviction, ethnic cleansing and destruction, indiscriminate bombing of civilians and complete destruction of infrastructure are not isolated incidents, these are deliberate actions.

He said that the Palestinian people expect the promise of hope, justice and peace from this council, we should not disappoint them, the continuous suffering of men, women and children must be ended.

He further said that Pakistan reiterated its demand for full membership of the United Nations to Palestine, permanent membership is a moral imperative which will be an irrevocable guarantee of a diplomatic solution.

This process will enable the end of the occupation and the Palestinian people to achieve their right to self-determination.
