Babar Azam and Shan Masood made history

Cape Town: Babar Azam and Shaun Masood made history as openers in Test cricket in the match between Pakistan and South Africa.

In the third day of the second Test between Pakistan and South Africa, the Pakistani opener played jammed. Babar Azam and Shaun Masood formed the greatest opening partnership for Pakistan against South Africa.

Earlier, Yasir Hameed and Younis Khan had a partnership of 133 runs in Centurion.

Earlier, on the third day of the second Test against South Africa, the entire Pakistan team was bowled out for 194 runs in the first innings.

The performance of the national team in the ongoing Test match between Pakistan and South Africa in Cape Town was disappointing. The national team got out after scoring 194 runs in the first innings. Babar Azam started the third day’s play with 31 runs and Mohammad Rizwan with 9 runs.

Babar Azam scored 58 runs. While Mohammad Rizwan scored 46 runs and Salman Ali started with 19 runs. Saeem Ayub could not bat due to injury. South African bowler Kagiso Rabada dismissed 3 players.

Earlier, in response to South Africa’s 615 runs, the national team got off to a disappointing start. Captain Shan Masood scored 2 runs and was dismissed by Kagiso Rabada. While scoring 12 runs, Kamran Ghulam was bowled by Marko Yansin’s ball.

Saud Shakeel was the third out batsman of the national team. Who fell victim to Kagiso Rabada on a score of 20 not out.

On the second day, South Africa were bowled out for 615 runs in the first innings. Ryan Rickleton scored a double century, Tamba Bavuma and Kyle Veriane scored centuries.

South Africa resumed play on the second day of the second Test in Cape Town at 316 for 4, but soon after the fifth wicket of the host team fell to 323 runs. David Bedingham scored 5 runs and was dismissed by Mohammad Abbas.

Later in the very first session, Ryan Rickleton completed a double century off 266 balls. Ryan Rickleton and Kyle Variane put on a 148-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Variane was dismissed for 100 runs.

On the seventh wicket, Rickleton made a partnership of 86 runs with Marco Janssen, but Rickleton returned to the pavilion by playing a marathon innings of 259 runs on a total of 557. He was caught out by Mir Hamza.

South Africa’s eighth out was Marco Jansen. He scored 62 runs off 54 balls while Keshav Maharat contributed with 40 runs in the closing moments to take his team past the 600 mark. While the South African team was all out for 615 runs.

For Pakistan, Muhammad Abbas and Salman Ali Agha took 3 and 3 wickets while Mir Hamza and Khurram Shehzad took 2 and 2 wickets.
