Decision to start construction of Sukkur Motorway from Karachi this year

The federal government has decided to start the construction of Sukkur Motorway from Karachi this year.

A special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Communications Abdul Aleem Khan. In the meeting, it was decided to start the construction of Sukkur Motorway from Karachi this year.

The Minister of Communications directed to start the construction of the motorway from Karachi to Sukkur and said that he would also invite the Sindh government to join in the construction of this motorway.

He said that this motorway will start from Karachi Port, will be connected to Sukkur Motorway, North and South Motorway network will be completed from Karachi to Sukkur Motorway.

He said that Karachi to Sukkur Motorway project can be started as Public Private Partnership and if Public Private Partnership is not available, the government will bear the cost of this Motorway itself.

Abdul Aleem Khan said that in the next 25 years, this motorway will give 3000 billion rupees profit to the government.
