July-December 2024, overall cement consumption declines to a record

During the first 6 months of the current financial year, the total consumption of cement in the country has recorded a decrease of 4% on annual basis.

According to the statistics of All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association and Industry, the total consumption of cement in the first 6 months of the current financial year was recorded at 22933000 tons, which is 4% less than the same period of the previous financial year.

In December 2024, the total consumption of cement has been recorded at 4154000 tons, which is two percent more than in December 2023. In December 2023, the total consumption of cement in the country was recorded at 4063000 tons.

Compared to November, cement consumption increased marginally on a monthly basis in December, with the country recording 4,146,000 tonnes of cement consumption in November.
