Federal Energy Minister Owais Laghari has released a video message on the progress in the power sector.
In his message, he said that proposals for revised agreements with 18 IPPs were presented to the federal cabinet, special economic zones and industrial estates were allowed to supply electricity at one point.

The administration was also allowed to provide connection, collect bills and handle other matters, now the administration of these industrial zones will be provided electricity at one point.
The administration will have full authority to collect bills and give new connections, in this regard a specific O&M mechanism is being created.
