Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Salman Akram Raja has refuted claims made by Barrister Saif regarding the denial of Sehri to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, reported.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail on Tuesday, Raja dismissed rumours about Khan’s health, stating that the former prime minister underwent a routine check-up and is in good health.

He also rejected allegations that Imran Khan was denied suhoor or prevented from observing religious practices. “There is no truth to the claims made by Barrister Saif,” he said. He added that PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram should inquire with Saif about the necessity of making such an irresponsible statement.

Raja emphasised that Khan is in jail for the sake of the nation and has no complaints regarding his party. “We discussed our next course of action today, and Imran Khan has issued instructions,” he said.

He also clarified that Choudhry Zaheer Abbas has been appointed as Khan’s lawyer for all legal matters related to the jail, while some individuals have tried to enhance their political stature through legal practices. He directed that all petitions be handed over to Abbas.

Raja concluded by stating that individuals assigned responsibility by Khan should focus on their political duties. He also announced the appointment of Niazullah Niazi as the official spokesperson for PTI, with Bushra Bibi appointing four focal persons to assist with her work.

Raja also addressed the opposition alliance, expressing respect for Maulana Fazlur Rehman and stating that Khan had issued certain directives regarding his inclusion in the alliance, which Raja will communicate to him.
