Sanitation workers went on strike and stopped working in protest over not receiving their salaries for the past three months. Due to the lack of cleaning in Union Council Dhabeji for the past three days, garbage piles have accumulated in various areas.
UC Dhabeji administration has not paid the sanitation staff salaries for the last three months, causing severe distress among the workers, who are now struggling to afford basic necessities. Sanitation workers have been on strike for the past three days in protest over non-payment of their wages. As a result, several areas, including Gareebabad Market, Sheikh Abdul Majeed Colony, Bilal Nagar, Old City, and Model Town, are filled with garbage.
Overflowing sewage drains have led to dirty water accumulating in streets and neighborhoods, causing serious problems for residents.
Contractor said that they have not received their payments for the past three months, which has prevented them from paying the workers, ultimately forcing them to go on strike.
