July is the second hottest month on record

The European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service said July 2024 was the second warmest month worldwide on record.

This is the end of this 13-month period, according to a report issued by Copernicus, according to a foreign news agency. During which every month was the hottest on record.

Samantha Burgess, the agency’s deputy director, said the streak of record-breaking hot months has ended, albeit by a narrow margin.

Although July 2024 remains slightly below the level of becoming the warmest month, the report said. But the land still experienced the two hottest days on record on July 22 and 23. In which the global average temperature reached 17.16 degrees Celsius and 17.15 degrees Celsius.

Burgess added that the overall context has not changed. Our climate is warming and the devastating effects of climate change will continue until global greenhouse gas emissions reach net zero.
