Election coup case, new indictment filed against Donald Trump

Washington: A new indictment has been filed against former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in the election coup case.

According to foreign news agencies, prosecutors dropped all four old charges in the revised indictment, accusing Donald Trump of a multi-faceted conspiracy to prevent the confirmation of his election defeat.

The case was presented to a new grand jury for indictment, the report added.
